Melvin has been serving at CHPC since October 2024. A native of Malaysia, Melvin first came to the US as an international student in 1995 and lived at the International Guest House until 1998. After graduating from Ole Miss in 2000, he worked in the telecommunications industry for four years before attending Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson.

After obtaining his Master of Divinity in 2010, Melvin went on staff at Christ Presbyterian Church, Oxford as International Ministry Coordinator, eventually moving into other areas of ministry. He was ordained into the PCA in August 2018.

Melvin has been married to his wife Lindsey since 2011. Lindsey works at Regents School of Oxford as the Fine Arts Coordinator and Lower School Curriculum Director. Along with serving at CHPC, Melvin continues in his part-time role at Regents, teaching Upper School Theology.
