New Updates From Our Church

Rebuild Newsletter (1)

If you would like to support our church as we begin the rebuilding process, please click the link below, or mail a check to 339 Co Rd 102, Oxford, MS 38655. We are in awe of the ways that the community has been a comfort and support to us already, and your financial support will help us to once again have a place to worship that will last another 200 years.

Gifts to the CHPC Building Fund are to one campaign with two building projects. Project One is a new sanctuary with seating for 300. Project Two will be on the historic sanctuary site and will honor our rich history and the Lord’s faithfulness.

August 15, 2022

It is with deep sadness that we share that our sanctuary was destroyed in a fire on the night of August 13th. This historical building, constructed in 1844, was a significant part of our church's rich history, and we are mourning its loss. However, College Hill Presbyterian Church is a body of believers, not a building. While we are devastated by the loss, we will continue to gather and unite with great hope and joy as a congregation to worship the Lord who has faithfully shepherded and loved this church for so long. Sunday School classes will continue meeting weekly at 9:30am, and Sunday morning worship will now take place in the Fellowship Hall at 10:30.

This video is a clip of our worship service the morning after the fire, during which we sang the hymn, "It Is Well." College Hill is extremely thankful that the Education Building, which was untouched by the fire, can now function as a temporary place for us to gather and worship together. The body remains, and we will meet weekly to worship the King! Please join us on Sunday mornings in the Fellowship Hall at 10:30!
